The Irish Pub Company are delighted to be working with JMP Entertainment and Alltech on a really exciting project in Pikeville, USA.
In collaboration with JMP Entertainment and Alltech, the Irish Pub Company will be creating a restaurant in a historic location in downtown Pikeville, Kentucky. The building, originally a train station will be remodelled to include a design concept which is very true to Irish heritage.
Dr. Pearse Lyons, President of Alltech, has been involved with the development. The pub will serve all of Alltech’s products and will include a gift shop for Alltech merchandise.
Speaking about the project, Adam Hatton, owner of JMP entertainment told the Appalachian News Express that the “The concept is based on an Irish pub, we want it to stay very true to Irish heritage. It’s important to Dr. Lyons and it’s important to us. It’s a collaboration from start to finish.”
Dr Pearse Lyons, the Irish owner and founder of Alltech is from Dundalk. He was a master brewer in the Guinness Storehouse, Dublin, his grandfather was a master cooper and he comes from 5 generations of coopers.
Alltech has strong links to Kentucky and to Ireland; Alltech has a brewery and distillery in Lexington, Kentucky and a distillery in Ireland, where the company is moving operations into a historic church in Dublin, just yards from the Guinness Brewery.
Alltech produces rye, bourbon, single-malt whiskey and an Irish Whiskey which is strongly connected to Kentucky: the whiskey stills, used by Alltech’s Lexington Brewing Company were shipped over to become part of the fifth whiskey distillery in Ireland.
