Ils sont constitu\u00e9s de panneaux de verre fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 la main sur un cadre en bois pivotant. Autrefois, ils permettaient aux buveurs de la classe moyenne de voir les buveurs de la classe ouvri\u00e8re dans le bar principal sans \u00eatre vus par eux.
