The Irish Village DubaiNamed 'One of the Greatest Meeting Places in the World
The Irish Village in Dubai, rated by Newsweek as ‘one of the greatest meeting places in the world’, certainly is one of the most visited tourist attractions and meeting places in the Middle East. The setting was conceived by The Irish Pub Company who created a business format for the otherwise unused build space beneath the tennis stadium where it was built.
In 2016 The Irish Village Dubai celebrated its 20th birthday in October with Sir Bob Geldoff as the guest of honour, in that same year it was named global ‘Pub of the Year’.

Time Out Dubai says that the Irish Village Dubai is an institution and has been given the international recognition it deserves.. “Everybody in Dubai knows that The Irish Village in Al Garhoud is a bit of an institution. And now this classic hangout near the airport, has been given the international recognition it deserves after being named best Irish pub on the planet!”
Shortlist Dubai said: “The Irish Village truly had the luck of the Irish this week, as the popular Dubai hangout was named ‘Pub of the Year’. With traditional décor, a village feel and an outdoor area to enjoy during the cooler months, it’s easy to see why The Irish Village scooped the top spot. With regular events and plenty of live music, its events calendar is one of the city’s highlights.”
