Tips for Cleaning your Pubs on Good Friday!

Good Friday in Ireland will see the streets full of confused looking tourists wandering the streets wondering why on earth they cannot find an open pub!
There is a ban on the sale of alcohol in Pubs on Good Friday – March 25th – a law that is 89 years old, so you won’t have the pleasure of being able to visit an Irish Pub!

You would think publicans would take the day off but many will use this Friday to spring clean their pub! Here are some of our top cleaning tips;
Marigolds! – Get yourself a few pairs of Marigolds, they come in some lovely colours!
Vinegar – It cleans everything from windows to carpets to upholstery, so stock up!
Start small – Don’t pull everything down from the back bar and then get too tired to put it back up.
Leave the dust and cobwebs alone! – Leave the bric a brac alone! The dust and cobwebs just adds to the authenticity!
Water, Lemon … and Whiskey! – Don’t buy expensive cleaning products – instead mix lemon, water….and whiskey…. And sure then you may aswell just sit and enjoy it!
Ok so we specialise in pub design and build, not cleaning services!

Happy Easter from all the team at the Irish Pub Company!
